How to Watch: NFL Network (check your cable listings)

In a week filled with interesting matchups, the Commanders vs. Dolphins game flies under the radar, but it’s debut in Madrid, Spain gives it a unique appeal. This will give the teams a chance to introduce themselves to a new audience and show the world they can still deliver.

Spanish Affairs

The Commanders vs. Dolphins game in Spain offers a different kind of intrigue – an under-the-radar matchup set against a new international backdrop for the NFL. In a city new to the league, even two struggling teams can steal the spotlight.

The league will make history again as they expand their international connections to the beautiful country of Spain. Washington and Miami will play at the historic Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, home to the famous Real Madrid soccer team.

Miami will be the home team, representing the NFL as they look to connect with Spanish audiences around the world. They are currently 2-5 in international games. Meanwhile, Washington enters their second-ever international game. Their first was back in 2016 in London where they and the Cincinnati Bengals finished with a tie on their records.

Broken Commanders

Washington has been on a downward spiral as of late. Not only have they been on a five-game losing streak, but plenty of their best players have been lost due to injuries. Starting QB Jayden Daniels will be out after hurting his left elbow. Backup QB Marcus Mariota will take over as starter.

Two of their finest wide receivers will also sit out. Terry McLaurin has a quad injury, and Treylon Burks injured his finger. Some notable defensive players who will be out this game are S Will Harris (ankle), LB Ale Kaho (concussion), and DE Drake Jackson (knee).

There are just too many absent players to name right now.

Commanders vs. Dolphins: Final Thoughts and Prediction

Some fans do not see the point of watching this game because of the state of the teams. However, I believe that both teams will do their best to rise to this special occasion.

Things haven’t been going well on Washington’s side with all these injuries and how they’ve been playing the last several games. You know you’ve hit a terrible rut when a team has lost by at least 20 points on four out of the last five meetings.

Miami, on the other hand, just came out of their biggest win of the season against the Buffalo Bills last week. Part of it is thanks to De’Von Achane who rushed for 174 yards in 22 carries for two touchdowns. He’s been a huge factor in the offense since Tyreek Hill’s season-ending injury.

I can see the Dolphins taking advantage of the Commanders’ broken offense and defense. Their defense will be at their best especially since LB Chop Robinson has cleared concussion protocol and will return on Sunday.

Final Score: Washington 14, Miami 28
